‘SISTERS’ is about the gathering of women across the central coast every Wednesday during school terms, coming together around friendship, the Word of God, and mission.. and taking the LOVE of God wherever we can.. as we GATHER AND GO..

Heading into 2016, we felt it was time for us to GO more often, together, with GREAT purpose and intentionality, going into our local communities to bring change and HOPE. Not going to simply help people, but to go and truly LOVE people…serving, and doing whatever is needed for those who are walking through difficult life seasons.

Everyone wants to be loved with no strings and no agenda..
Everyone wants to know that they are valued..
Everyone wants to belong..

And this is where these six words from Isaiah 6 frame our year and beyond..

We’ve made it easy to know what is happening each week.

GO Projects for 2016

Life Support
Life Support Programs provide a great opportunity for us to serve people community who may be experiencing challenging life circumstances. These projects will include volunteering in local hospitals and supporting the Look Good Feel Better Program.

Young Families
We are passionate about building and strengthening families. In our church family and local community there are a number of young parent families. We want to see young parents and their children thrive in the midst of what can often be seen as a challenging season. These projects are all about supporting young parents on their journey and creating a context for building a community of support. There will be opportunities to help host mums and bubs groups, bake for high teas, prepare and deliver gift hampers for young mums and assist at the North Wyong Better Futures Hub with childminding, cafe supervision, reception and craft groups.

Little Sisters
Little Sisters is about teaching girls in years 5-8 about media and body image, building positive friendships and helping others. In addition to running monthly Life Groups using “Mirror Mirror” resources, we will be seeking opportunities to deliver similar programs in local schools.

Ground Crew
On Sisters ‘GO’ days We will also run a ‘Ground Crew’ at Charmhaven to provide administrative support for all of our Go projects. Once a month in Charmhaven and Gosford we will provide practical support to a program called ‘Day For Girls International’.

At both Charmhaven and Gosford Hub a weekly Bible study is hosted on GO days to empower you in your daily GO.

Breast cancer has affected all at some stage – whether personally, a loved one, a family friend or acquaintance. ‘The Love Pink Foundation’ has been launched to raise awareness and funds to practically assist those journeying through breast cancer.

This year the funds we raise will go towards the following causes;

  • 1000 Meals Project, which supplies meals to women journeying through cancer treatment.
  • The McGrath Foundation, which gives women a hand to hold by providing breast cancer nurses
  • Look Good Feel Good, who help women manage the appearance-related side-effects caused by cancer treatment.
